What's On My Food www.whatsonmyfood.org

It's a lot about community.

The unrelenting industrialization of American agriculture isolated food producers from food consumers. Faceless corporations who were accountable only to their shareholders forced farmers into positions where their only real choice, if they wanted to remain in farming, was to do things the way the corporations wanted them done.

Now that is changing because consumers have finally awakened to their need for wholesome food, produced by people with integrity.

Wendell Berry once said

"The grace that is the health of creatures can only be held in common.

In healing the scattered members come together.

In health the flesh is graced, the holy enters the world."

(Essays by Wendell Berry, What are People For? 1990)

Through the generosity of our donors, the Farm-to-Consumer Foundation offers limited financial aid to farmers and consumer groups who engage in and/or support sustainable agricultural practices and have demonstrable financial need as a result of government harassment. This includes qualifying recipients who have been unfairly harmed by government action such as unjustified raids and /or product seizures.  To request financial aid, please send us an email.
