The Power of the Internet is People
We are no longer alone.
For the past one hundred years people in the agricultural community have struggled to share their ideas. The logistics were too much to overcome. Either your neighbors had interests other than yours, or the people who were interested in what you were doing were too far away to have much more than an occasional written correspondence.
The other challenge has been finding people who shared your dreams for your family. All that is changing now because of the ubiquitous nature of the internet. You found this site. It may have been via a search engine or the email of a friend, but now you know about us.
We want to help build a community of people dedicated to nutrient dense foods available from sustainable farms that can become models for the next generation.
We need your help.
Joel Salatin Sees It .
In his book, "Family Friendly Farming", farmer Joel Salatin says
"Every child enters adulthood with special memories. I think that too often those memories come mainly from holidays, vacations or special events...
my powerful emotional memories...are instead a recital of mundane tasks done with a long term emphasis. Because each task held a philosophical underpinning for tomorrow, its significance carried an elevated value. And so, instead of my most precious memories being relegated to festivals, holidays and vacations, they are a stream-of-life collections from the house I live in, the paths I walk and the places I see every day.
And that is rich."
